Oscar champ Alan Arkin, the vital person entertainer most popular for his work on "Little Miss Daylight" and "Argo," passed on in California this week, relatives said Friday.


Arkin was 89 when he kicked the bucket Thursday in the San Diego Area people group of Carlsbad.


"Our dad was a particularly gifted power of nature, both as a craftsman and a man. A caring spouse, father, excellent and extraordinary granddad, he was revered and will be profoundly missed," as per a family explanation to NBC News.


No reason for death was quickly unveiled.


Arkin was a four-time Oscar chosen one, earning best entertainer respect for "The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming" in 1966 and "The Heart is a Desolate Tracker" in 1968.


He acquired supporting entertainer designations for "Little Miss Daylight" in 2006 and "Argo" in 2012.
